Job summary

Trulioo is hiring a DevOps Engineer to build, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure and deployment systems on AWS. You will collaborate with engineering to ensure reliable deployments, scalable systems, and strong operational practices across ECS, EKS, and EC2 workloads.

You will leverage AI to boost productivity, enhance decision-making, and optimize workflows, while maintaining security and compliance. The role is full-time, based in San Diego on a hybrid model (3 days in the office).

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly ECS, EKS, and EC2.
• Experience writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools, especially Grafana.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Experience with containerization (Docker).
• Working knowledge of Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
• Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or similar).
• Can independently handle day-to-day infrastructure and deployment tasks.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable application deployments.
• Manage and improve AWS infrastructure across ECS, EKS, and EC2 environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Monitor system health and performance using Grafana and supporting observability tools.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues in staging and production environments.
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment workflows and system reliability.
• Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Implement and maintain logging, alerting, and incident response processes.
• Contribute to cost optimization and performance tuning within AWS.
• Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, processes, and runbooks.
• Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement while ensuring the responsible, secure, and compliant use of AI tools.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to draft, refactor, and review Terraform modules and Kubernetes/ECS manifests.
