Job description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and support cloud infrastructure for enterprise Data Science and AI/ML platforms. This role is responsible for managing AWS environments, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), supporting Kubernetes clusters, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS services, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and production infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting enterprise Data Science and AI/ML platforms.
• Develop and manage AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD best practices.
• Build, manage, and support Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
• Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker, Amazon ECR, and Kubernetes.
• Support Data Lake, Data Science, and AI/ML workloads using AWS services.
• Configure and manage AWS accounts, cloud networking, and infrastructure resources.
• Implement image lifecycle management and infrastructure standardization processes.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting.
• Manage database technologies including Amazon Athena, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement cloud security controls, guardrails, vulnerability remediation, and audit compliance.
• Perform infrastructure patching, upgrades, and operational maintenance.
• Provide production support, including participation in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, database, architecture, and application teams to deliver cloud solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Data Science infrastructure.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting AWS-based Data Lake, Data Science, or AI/ML platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, S3, Glue, SageMaker, and Athena.
• Strong experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
• Experience with Docker and Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Python and Shell scripting for infrastructure automation.
• Experience managing database technologies including Athena, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience implementing cloud security controls and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments and resolving infrastructure incidents.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with security tools such as Aqua Security and Kenna.
• Experience with technical service management and product lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting enterprise AI/ML and Data Science platforms.
• Experience implementing scalable cloud infrastructure for large enterprise environments.
