Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Database Developer to build and maintain queries, stored procedures, and views for a federal agency's enterprise data platform in Washington, DC. The role requires 4+ years of database development experience, a Bachelor's degree, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.

You will work with Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL-compatible), DynamoDB, S3, and Apache Iceberg tables to turn raw data into usable data, perform query tuning, and manage data

Qualifications

• 4+ years of database development experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust determination.
• Willingness to commute to Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain queries, stored procedures, and views for a federal agency's enterprise data platform.
• Work on Amazon Aurora and related platform stores under a senior developer's design.
• Work with DynamoDB, S3, and Apache Iceberg tables to turn raw data into usable data.
• Perform query tuning, S3 data loads into platform stores, and connectivity under governed access.
• Grow toward ownership of physical database design.
• Help develop new capabilities, tools, and lines of business.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, data scientists, architects, and strategists on complex real-world problems.
• Participate in work spanning strategy formulation through hands-on implementation.
