Jobtailor is seeking a Database Developer to build and maintain queries, stored procedures, and views for a federal agency's enterprise data platform in Washington, DC. Requirements

4+ years of database development experience
Bachelor's degree
SQL on Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL-compatible), working with DynamoDB, S3, and Apache Iceberg tables
Stored procedures, views, and query tuning
Data loading (S3 into the platform stores) and ODBC/JDBC connectivity
Basic proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
Sole United States citizenship
Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination
Ability to commute into Washington, DC regularly
Preferred: Physical-design ownership of the Aurora and Iceberg stores, or the drive to grow into it
Preferred: Apache Ranger-governed access
Preferred: Federal information technology or high-volume transaction experience
Preferred: Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling
