Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Database Developer for a federal agency's enterprise data platform in Washington, DC. You will craft SQL, stored procedures, and views on Amazon Aurora, transforming data across DynamoDB, S3, and Iceberg.

The role requires 4+ years of database development, a Bachelor's degree, US citizenship, and eligibility for a Public Trust. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and grow toward owning physical design within a governance framework.

Qualifications

4+ years of database development experience.
Bachelor’s degree required.
SQL on Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL-compatible), working with DynamoDB, S3, and Iceberg tables.
Stored procedures, views, and query tuning.
Data loading (S3 into the platform stores) and ODBC/JDBC connectivity.
Basic proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Sole United States citizenship.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.
Ability to commute into DC regularly.
