Job summary

Accenture is seeking an AWS Security Architect to design and deliver security solutions across AWS environments in Detroit area. You will translate security risks into business recommendations and drive governance, compliance, and incident response programs.

You will lead client workshops, architecture reviews, and enablement activities while mentoring junior practitioners and ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with Accenture standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience designing, implementing, or operating security controls in AWS.
• 7+ years with AWS IAM, including roles, policies, federation, least privilege, and multi-account governance.
• 7+ years with AWS network security: VPC, security groups, NACLs, WAF, Network Firewall.
• 7+ years with AWS security monitoring and threat detection services: CloudTrail, Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Detective, CloudWatch.
• Experience securing AWS data through encryption, key management, secrets management, and vulnerability management.
• Experience assessing AWS architectures against cloud security frameworks and compliance (Well-Architected, CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).
• 7+ years leading cloud security projects using standard project management principles.
• 7+ years producing technical documentation and executive-level recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of AWS security strategy, architecture, implementation, and operations engagements.
• Assess AWS environments and develop security roadmaps aligned with objectives, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.
• Design secure AWS landing zones and multi-account environments using AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and Security Hub.
• Define and implement IAM controls using IAM, IAM Identity Center, permission boundaries, SCPs, and least-privilege policies.
• Design AWS network security architectures using VPC, security groups, NACLs, Network Firewall, WAF, and connectivity services.
• Develop data protection solutions using KMS, CloudHSM, encryption, secrets management, data classification, and secure key-management practices.
• Establish cloud security monitoring, logging, threat detection, and incident response using CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Detective, Config, CloudWatch.
• Lead cloud security posture management, vulnerability management, and remediation across AWS workloads.
• Translate AWS security risks and requirements into business recommendations for executives.
• Map AWS security controls to frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS AWS Foundations).
• Lead client workshops, security assessments, architecture reviews, and executive presentations.
• Drive business development, proposal creation, solution shaping, and client relationships for AWS Security opportunities.
• Coach junior practitioners and contribute reusable assets and thought leadership.
• Deliver services in accordance with Accenture quality standards and collaborate across teams.
