Job summary

Dark Wolf seeks a Cloud Operations Support Specialist (Tier 2) to join our team and act as the frontline escalation point for AWS environments. You will monitor, diagnose, and resolve incidents, perform routine backups, capacity management, and apply approved changes under strict change control.

This role requires 2+ years in IT support, hands-on AWS experience, and strong written/verbal communication. You will collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 3 engineers and security staff to maintain high

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT help desk, technical support, or Tier 2 role.
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC).
• Experience with incident, problem and service request workflows.
• Monitoring system performance, resource utilization, and backups.
• Strong troubleshooting across Linux/Windows and basic cloud networking.
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication; SOPs/KBs.
• US Citizenship with active Top Secret or ability to obtain Top Secret.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Tier 2 escalation for Tier 1 tickets and resolve complex issues.
• Proactively monitor AWS infrastructure and detect alerts before impact.
• Oversee backups, snapshots, storage, and capacity management.
• Triaging incidents, root-cause analysis, and documented trends.
• Execute approved standard changes under change-management procedures.
• Coordinate with Tier 1, Tier 3, and security teams for smooth handoffs.
• Author and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
