Job summary

PSEG in New York is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design and implement cloud infrastructure across on-prem and AWS environments, focusing on reliability, security, and scalable architecture. You will build and automate tooling, manage IaC with CloudFormation or Terraform, collaborate with IT and security teams, and ensure changes meet standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 8 years of IT experience in lieu.
4+ years designing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure, AWS preferred.
Strong AWS service expertise: EC2, ECS, S3, ALB, VPC, VPN.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with CloudFormation or similar tools.
Experience supporting hybrid cloud and troubleshooting complex infrastructure.
Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design cloud infrastructure, architecture, and security architectures aligned with standards.
Plan, design, build, implement, and support new and existing cloud hosting services.
Build tools and automation to improve availability, scalability, latency and efficiency.
Monitor production and development environments to enable a fail-safe experience for customers.
Document and communicate architectures clearly to architects and implementers.
Work across teams to design and implement scalable, reliable solutions.
Lead development, implementation, and optimization of technology solutions.
Take ownership of assigned systems to meet performance and reliability standards.
Collaborate with IT and Cyber to align with security policies and governance.
Follow change management and QA processes to production readiness.
