Job summary

Altagrove LLC is looking for a Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and sustain secure AWS infrastructure for mission-critical workloads in a secure environment. You will build and manage AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and related components, ensuring resilience, security, and cost efficiency.

The role requires hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, plus a track record of working in security-conscious settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Cloud Computing or related field.
• AWS certification preferred; Azure or other cloud certifications are a plus.
• Active security clearance is preferred and onsite work in Herndon, VA is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and sustain secure AWS cloud infrastructure for enterprise workloads.
• Build and manage AWS environments using EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route 53, and ELB.
• Design and support cloud networking including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, VPNs, Direct Connect, DNS, and hybrid connectivity.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Deploy and support containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and EKS.
• Configure IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring, vulnerability management, backup, and cloud security controls.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes.
