Overview

Transaction Network Services (TNS), a Koch Industries company, is seeking a talented and motivated AWS Cloud Architect. We are adopting cloud services at an increasing rate, primarily AWS. This role involves establishing strategy and architecture for these technologies.

Responsibilities

1. Create and execute cloud computing strategies by architecting cloud infrastructure assets to meet TNS’ business goals.
2. Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud infrastructure and cloud native applications.
3. Serve as a subject matter expert, advising on industry best practices for cloud technologies.
4. Develop strategic plans, implement, and assist in operation with stakeholders.
5. Continuously improve service delivery to internal and external customers.
6. Develop, configure, administer, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure supporting corporate and production platforms.
7. Define monitoring and alerting requirements for cloud infrastructure and assist Monitoring and Automation teams.
8. Create and maintain documentation for processes, architecture, or other cloud infrastructure elements.
9. Educate and evangelize cloud capabilities and limitations.
10. Assist in financial forecasting, business cases, invoice reviews, and ongoing financial management for cloud services.
11. Perform consultative services to select appropriate platforms for service delivery between cloud and traditional infrastructure.

Qualifications

1. 7-10 years of experience in a Software Development Engineering environment.
2. Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current trends.
3. 5+ years of practical experience with AWS architecture, design, and support.
4. Demonstrated skills with AWS cloud infrastructure platforms, tools, and services.
5. Strong understanding of networking concepts and configuration in cloud environments.
6. Knowledge of security and compliance best practices for cloud systems.
7. Experience with microservices, containerization, and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
8. Experience with automation tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible.
9. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
10. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Bash scripting.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working under tight deadlines.

Optional Desired Qualifications

1. Global organizational support experience.
2. Experience in the Telecom industry.
3. Understanding of ML, data analysis, and visualization.
4. Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive.
5. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and broader IT exposure.
6. Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud, or OpenStack.
7. Certifications in cloud technologies (Azure, GCP) are a plus.

Education and Certifications

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
2. AWS Cloud Architecture certification required.
