Job summary

Amazon's Data Center Engineering Operations team seeks an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain and operate critical infrastructure in AWS data centers. You will perform daily rounds, monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS), and assist in troubleshooting facility events within internal SLAs.

This role may require travel to active sites, shifts up to 12 hours, and is eligible for commensurate clearance with TS/SCI polygraph.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical or data center facilities experience.
• 2+ years of data center engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
