Job summary

Senior Helpers of Western Cuyahoga & Lorain Counties is actively seeking trusted, compassionate, and reliable caregivers to help seniors stay safe and comfortable at home.

Whether you have experience or are starting out, we provide training and support to help you succeed. Various shifts are available, including weekdays and weekends with morning and afternoon slots.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
• Proven reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to pass background, motor vehicle, and drug screening.
• Caregiving experience preferred but not required.
• Parkinson’s and Dementia care experience are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Support mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Accurately document care provided.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and office staff.
• Accompany clients to appointments or errands when needed.

Pay Rates

• Standard Pay: $16 - $20 per hour


• Weekend Premium Pay Shift

Caregiver Responsibilities
