Chubb External invites applications for an AVP, Underwriting to lead Inland Marine underwriting for North America Major Accounts Inland Marine Product Line. The role ensures underwriting excellence, integrity, and execution of strategic objectives across risk selection, pricing, and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to assess risk selection criteria and exposure evaluation
• Experience in risk pricing and coverage wordings
• Promotes and supports underwriting integrity and best practices

Responsibilities

• Ensure profitability, growth, and operational efficiency through risk criteria and pricing input
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Compliance, Loss Control and OGC; contribute to data management and system development
• Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines, forms/wordings libraries, best practices and strategies
• Develop, implement and train on workflow procedures for continuous improvement
• Improve Policy Issuance standards, accuracy and timeliness with Operations
• Ensure field underwriting adheres to guidelines and authority levels with proper documentation
• Analyze product portfolio profitability and provide input on product, distribution and geography
• Assist in data collection for underwriting strategy, portfolio management and actuarial analytics
• Support reinsurance placements as needed
• Coordinate system access authority and management
• Provide input on strategic and operational objectives for NA markets (US & Canada)
• Develop talent through day-to-day dialogue and formal training
