Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Inland Marine Underwriting in Chicago. You will lead high-value Inland Marine production, underwriting, and servicing within authority, focusing on profitable growth and broker partnerships.

The role requires deep Inland Marine expertise, established broker relationships, and the ability to attract and retain profitable business while serving as a trusted market representative for MSIG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; professional designations preferred.
• 10+ years Inland Marine underwriting experience.
• Experience with Contractors Equipment, MTCargo, Warehouse Legal Liability, Floaters.
• Strong broker relationships in Chicago market.

Responsibilities

• Produce, underwrite, and service profitable Inland Marine business.
• Underwrite complex Inland Marine risks including Contractors Equipment, Motor Truck Cargo, Warehouse Legal Liability, Floaters.
• Apply underwriting judgment in risk selection, pricing, and profitability objectives.
• Monitor results and market trends to support decisions.
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial, risk engineering and other teams.
