Job summary

Citi is seeking a Business Banker in Plainedge, NY, to proactively source and retain client relationships, act as SME for Deposit, Credit, and Cash Management products, and drive revenue growth across a defined area.

You will collaborate with Wealth Management and Mortgage teams, manage credit requests, and execute integrated sales plans to maximize opportunities while ensuring consistent client service excellence.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience, banking experience preferred.
• Exceptional consulting skills; ability to probe, listen, clarify and present information.
• Demonstrate analytical skills and ability to assimilate complex financial info.
• Professional presentation and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of credit structuring; credit training preferred.
• Excellent business development and client relationship skills.
• Must register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

Responsibilities

• Lead as SME across a sales area of assigned branches with cross-organization collaboration.
• Partner with Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Consumer segments to optimize relationships.
• Drive sales plan, achieve scorecard goals, and expand high-value client relationships.
• Develop and execute integrated sales plans to acquire new-to-bank clients.
• Manage loan requests up to $250K; coordinate with senior bankers for larger loans.
• Adhere to internal controls and policies in loan processing and documentation.
• Educate clients on products to grow portfolio balance and revenue.
