Job summary

JCW Group is expanding its North American corporate banking franchise and seeking an AVP, Relationship Manager to originate and manage US and Canadian corporate relationships in New York. The role entails hunting for new business, close collaboration with credit and operations teams, and leading KYC/AML governance.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in international banking, 3+ years marketing to US corporates, and strong knowledge of trade finance and corporate lending.

• 5+ years of international banking experience.

• Strong knowledge of trade finance, receivables, and corporate lending.

Responsibilities

• Originate new US and Canadian corporate relationships.
• Travel to meet target clients, conduct due diligence, and close deals.
• Match client needs to the bank’s lending and product set with Credit Admin, Operations, and counsel.
• Own credit risk monitoring including annual reviews and covenant compliance.
• Maintain KYC, AML, and BSA compliance across the portfolio.
• Line manage an Assistant RM.

What you’ll do:

• Originate new US and Canadian corporate relationships, a hunting mandate, not portfolio caretaking
• Travel to meet target clients, conduct due diligence, and close from first contact to close
• Match client needs to the bank’s corporate lending and product set, working with Credit Admin, Operations, and Bank counsel
• Own credit risk monitoring on your portfolio, including annual reviews and covenant compliance
• Maintain KYC, AML, and BSA compliance across your book
• Line manage an Assistant RM
