Job summary

Sompo Holdings, Inc. seeks an Assistant Vice President, South-Central Regional Underwriting Manager to lead the Commercial Management Liability team in Houston. You will underwrite D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Crime for private and public companies while managing risk, pricing, and capacity.

The role requires strong broker relationships, budget oversight, and readiness to travel regularly, including Dallas trips from Houston. Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of underwriting experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Professional lines Underwriting Experience.
• Established relationships with Retail and Wholesale networks in South Central.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct management for South Central’s Commercial Management Liability Team.
• Underwriting of Directors and Officers, EPL, Fiduciary, and Crime for private/public companies.
• Evaluate risk characteristics to determine capacity, attachment point, terms, and pricing.
• Set and track monthly budgets with regional oversight.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships and seek new opportunities in the South-Central region.
• Participate in account discussions and engage internal and external partners.
