Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Ports and Marine Engineering to join the National Maritime Practice Group. This role can be based out of Irvine, San Francisco, San Diego, Miami, Portland, Houston, or Tampa locations.

Provides leadership for design, construction, and inspection of port/marine facilities, with 10+ years of marine/coastal experience and PE licensure. Duties include QA/QC, client engagements, and cross‑functional team leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program.
  • 10+ years of post-education experience in marine/coastal engineering with rehabilitation and new design.
  • Professional Engineering license (multi-state preferred) or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise technical staff, track workloads, and forecast resources.
  • Mentor staff for growth to project leads and senior positions.
  • Oversee calculations, drawings, specs, and reports for marine projects.
