Job summary

National Life Group is seeking an AVP of Investment Accounting to lead the firm’s investment accounting and reporting function based in Addison, TX. You will drive GAAP and statutory reporting across asset classes, including private credit and alternative investments, while partnering with auditors and internal teams.

Qualifications

Minimum 14+ years in investment accounting and financial reporting.
Bachelor's degree with accounting focus; CPA preferred.
Solid knowledge of US GAAP and statutory accounting in insurance.
Experience with private credit and alternative investments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines.

Responsibilities

Oversee GAAP and statutory investment accounting across all asset classes.
Coordinate month-/quarter-/year-end reporting with auditors and partners.
Lead relationships with auditors, vendors and internal teams.
Develop metrics and analytics for investment performance and risk.
Guide deployment of AI tools to improve reporting and compliance.
Manage and mentor the investment accounting team.
