National Life Group in Montpelier, VT is seeking a Director of Investment Accounting to lead a high-performing team responsible for GAAP and statutory reporting of the company’s investment portfolio. The role requires strategic oversight and hands-on review of accounting entries to support overall financial performance.

You will partner with auditors, tax, treasury and investment operations, driving automation and continuous process improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• 7–10 years of experience in investment accounting and financial reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Experience with US GAAP accounting and statutory reporting.
• Experience in insurance or regulated financial services.

Mansioni

• Oversee GAAP and statutory accounting for the consolidated investment portfolio and subsidiaries.
• Ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end and annual reporting of investments.
• Build and maintain relationships with auditors, vendors and business partners.
• Collaborate with finance, tax, treasury and investment operations to support needs.
• Develop continuous process improvement, automation, and new technology.
