Job summary

National Life Group seeks a Sr. Director, Corporate Accounting in Addison, TX, to lead a high‑performing team responsible for core GAAP and statutory reporting.

You will oversee fixed assets, leases, payroll taxes, accruals, intercompany activity, and more, while shaping internal controls and collaboration with auditors and leaders. The role emphasizes leadership development, accountability, and driving automation within finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 16+ years of related experience with accounting leadership.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial close, reconciliations, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Oversee corporate accounting activities including fixed assets, leases, payroll, accruals, and intercompany activity.
• Maintain internal controls and support external auditors and regulators.
• Drive ERP transformation and automation initiatives.
