Job summary

National Life Group in Addison, TX seeks an AVP – Inforce Management to lead end-to-end inforce strategies across Life and Annuities. You will translate complex actuarial analysis into actionable recommendations for senior management and collaborate with Product Development, Finance, Investments, and Legal to drive profitability and policyholder value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related field.
• Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
• 8+ years of actuarial or equivalent experience with increasing responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of statutory, tax, and GAAP requirements for Life and Annuities inforce management.
• Strong financial modeling using actuarial software, preferably MG-ALFA.
• Experience leading high-value, complex projects and cross-functional teams.
• Experience owning inforce actuarial capabilities including Life NGEs, IA testing, and governance.
• Ability to translate analysis into senior-management recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Owns and translates actuarial analysis into clear business insights and recommendations.
• Leads Life NGE rate actions and communicates trade-offs.
• Identifies risks and opportunities to improve strategic choices.
• Leads or contributes to reinsurance strategies and execution.
• Directs end-to-end inforce management initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Oversees experience-study strategy for pricing, governance and decisions.
• Supports NGE certification and Illustration Actuary responsibilities.
• Mentors actuarial staff and builds capability plans.
