Job summary

Bank of China in New York is seeking an experienced professional to assist the Vice President in executing the new business development strategy focusing on cross-border banking products between the U.S. and China.

The role requires strong market research and bilingual communication in English and Mandarin. You will develop marketing plans, evaluate product design, pricing, and risk controls, present analyses to stakeholders, monitor KPI performance, and coordinate with BOC Head Office in China

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or related field; master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in the offered role or related occupation.
• Demonstrate adequate knowledge of banking products and services, and banking operational procedures.
• Fluency in Mandarin is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantitative and qualitative market research using both English and Chinese sources for cross-border banking products serving US–China needs.
• Prepare and execute bilingual marketing plans to target English- and Chinese-speaking customers.
• Identify new areas in product design, pricing, testing and monitoring to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Prepare and present analytical findings and business proposals to stakeholders to facilitate decisions on product management.
• Monitor and evaluate product performance by measuring KPI, costs and profits, benchmark and gap analysis to control financial risk exposure.
• Utilize specialized quantitative models to conduct statistical analysis and extract insights to generate graphs, tables and proposals.
• Liaise between department and BOC Head Office in China and partners in the US/China in project management; coordinate campaigns with China on marketing.
