Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health in Newark is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Critical Care to lead Nursing Administration, drive quality, and align staffing with demand across Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. You will foster patient-centered care, manage operational workflows, and promote staff engagement.
The ideal candidate holds NJ RN license, BSN and MSN, plus at least four years of progressive nursing admin experience, with a track record of CQI and strategic leadership in a complex hospital
Qualifications
- RN license in New Jersey (registered professional nurse)
- BSN and a Master’s degree in nursing (MSN or equivalent)
- Minimum of four years of progressive nursing administrative experience
- Experience directing nursing operations and ensuring regulatory compliance
Responsibilities
- Drive operational excellence, quality, and continuous improvement across the nursing leadership team.
- Align staffing with patient demand while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
- Cultivate a diverse, supportive environment and retain leadership talent.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and CQI strategies to resolve operational challenges.
- Partner with executives and care management to refine clinical policies and strategic objectives.
- Balance daily operations with long-term hospital initiatives and timely project delivery.
