Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead technical underwriting and account management for large construction casualty programs across multiple offices in New York, Boston, Jersey City, Hartford and Philadelphia.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, pricing, and client service delivery. The position requires strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, with a travel expectation around 20% per month and a base salary in the posted regional

Qualifications

• Seven plus years of underwriting experience and/or seven plus years in construction or insurance.
• Established broker relationships within the Region would be ideal.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required; CPCU or similar designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Technical Underwriting: Solicit and review new and renewal information to evaluate risk.
• Identify exposures and hazards; structure loss-sensitive programs to manage risk.
• Prepare quotations/proposals and coordinate administrative duties for accounts.
