Job summary

State Street in Boston is seeking an Assistant Vice President for the Wealth Custody & Clearing Trading & Asset Servicing team to own margin operations and build scalable processes.

You will translate regulatory requirements into procedures, controls, and reporting, while partnering across Risk, Compliance, Product, Technology and our clearing firm to evolve the margin capability and support client activity.

Qualifications

• Experience administering or overseeing margin calls, account restrictions, extensions, margins, or liquidations.
• Knowledge of Regulation SHO and short-selling operations is important.
• Familiarity with Portfolio Margin and risk-based margin methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the margin operating model translating requirements into procedures, controls, and reporting.
• Own day-to-day margin operations including calls, maintenance, extensions, and exceptions.
• Monitor margin reports and account activity for elevated exposure and risk-based escalation.
• Apply Regulation T, FINRA 4210, SEC requirements and firm policies when evaluating activity.
• Coordinate timely resolution of margin calls with clients, advisors, Apex, Risk, and others.
