Job summary

South Story Bank & Trust in Iowa seeks an experienced AVP Operations Manager to lead Deposit Operations and Treasury Management, ensuring compliant, efficient, and customer-focused operations.

The role requires strong leadership, banking operations expertise, and the ability to drive cross-department projects, manage regulatory risk, and deliver process improvements that support strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of banking operations experience, preferably in Deposit Operations or Treasury Management
• At least two years of proven leadership experience in Treasury Management, Banking Operations, or related financial services
• Strong knowledge of electronic banking platforms, risk management, and regulatory compliance
• Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for Deposit Operations and Treasury Management functions, ensuring efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service
• Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies, procedures, and controls that support operational accuracy, risk management, and audit readiness
• Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders through proactive communication
• Lead strategic initiatives, process improvements, technology enhancements, and bank-wide projects that improve efficiency and support organizational goals
• Prepare and analyze operational reports, identify trends, and recommend solutions to enhance service quality, mitigate risk, and control costs
• Supervise, coach, and develop Deposit Operations and Treasury Management staff, including performance management and training
