Job summary
WSP is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Track Design Lead to guide the planning, design, and delivery of rail modernization projects across the New York metropolitan region. The role blends hands-on leadership with technical signal-systems coordination, ensuring designs meet contract requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in track design and lead designer roles.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project delivery for track design and installation, from planning to commissioning.
- Provide design leadership for track design across transit/rail projects.
- Coordinate engineering efforts across planning, design, and construction.
- Maintain strong client relationships and market services to transit agencies and railroads.
- Grow team engineers by assigning tasks and promoting technical excellence.
- Supervise multidisciplinary rail teams and ensure safety/compliance.
