Job summary

Crum & Forster seeks an AVP of Engineering & Quality Assurance to lead software delivery and reliability for Travel Insured International. You will steer engineering managers, software engineers, and QA, drive AI-enabled engineering, and align with architecture standards while balancing strategy and hands-on delivery.

Reporting to the VP of Digital Transformation, you’ll own performance, budget, and vendor decisions, partnering with Product and Platform teams to scale for $2.5B growth and new

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or related field; master’s preferred.
• 12+ years in software engineering with 3–5+ years leading teams.
• Proven track record delivering software and reliability at scale.
• Hands-on with .NET/React/TypeScript/Azure stack; SAFe experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering managers, engineers, and QA teams.
• Own SDLC, agile release trains, and delivery predictability.
• Operationalize AI-assisted engineering across teams.
• Embed DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure-by-design practices.
• Own run-time reliability, incident response, and DR/BCP.
