Job summary

Pacific Life in Newport Beach, CA seeks a senior AVP Actuary to lead Post Sale Pricing Operations for Pension Risk Transfer. You will oversee pricing, contracting support, and operational coordination with SEI, Finance, and Legal, driving strategic evolution of the PRT pricing model.

You will mentor pricing actuaries, shape pricing methodologies, and partner across actuarial, operations, and technology teams to support growth and profitability. Hybrid work four days in-office.

Qualifications

• FSA certification with 10+ years actuarial experience.
• Minimum 5 years of direct Pension Risk Transfer Pricing experience.
• Experience with PRT pricing methodologies and transaction structures.
• Ability to influence cross-functional initiatives within a matrixed environment.
• EA designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-sale pricing and management of Pacific Life's PRT transactions.
• Coordinate with SEI, Operations, Product, Finance, and Legal on pricing and governance.
• Develop and oversee repricing methodologies, tools, and controls as processes mature.
• Provide expert actuarial guidance and mentorship within the pricing team.
