Job summary

Acrisure Re, a leading global reinsurance broker, seeks an AVP, Actuarial in New York to price contracts across pro-rata, excess of loss, and structured deals. This individual-contributor role includes mentoring junior analysts and advancing actuarial standards.

The AVP will build dynamic models, communicate complex results to clients and brokers, and support submissions, pricing decisions, and partnerships while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related STEM field.
• 4+ years actuarial pricing experience in reinsurance.
• ACAS or near-ACAS with progression toward FCAS.
• Active Continuing Education requirements.
• Understanding of property, casualty, cyber, and specialty lines.
• Knowledge of pricing and reserving methodologies; capital models.
• Familiarity with RMS, AIR or similar catastrophe models.
• Excel proficiency; R/SQL/Python/VBA a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Price reinsurance contracts using actuarial methods.
• Develop dynamic stochastic models for pricing strategies.
• Communicate analysis results to clients and brokers clearly.
• Support brokers in submissions, pricing, structuring, and placing.
• Answer technical queries from clients, reinsurers, and brokers.
• Contribute to actuarial standards and enterprise initiatives.
• Create and maintain analytical tools following standards.
• Participate in research, whitepapers and working groups.
• Produce clear exhibits and lead discussions with stakeholders.
