Job summary

Acrisure Re in New York, NY is seeking a Vice President of Actuarial to lead actuarial work across property, casualty, and specialty (re)insurance. You will manage and develop staff, provide pricing and modeling insights, and support brokers and clients throughout the reinsurance lifecycle.

The VP will bring deep actuarial expertise, guide analytics strategy, and collaborate with multi-national carriers, MGAs, Insurtechs, and captives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• 7+ years actuarial experience in reinsurance pricing.
• FCAS or near-FCAS designation, with active progression toward FCAS strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel; comfortable with Office Suite.
• Experience with R preferred; familiarity with SQL, Python, and VBA.
• Experience using AI/LLM tools to support coding, analysis, and documentation.
• Domestic and overseas business travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review pricing analyses for proportional, excess of loss, and structured reinsurance deals.
• Develop and review dynamic stochastic models and pricing strategies.
• Communicate analysis results and complex concepts to clients, reinsurers, and brokers.
• Support brokers in submissions, pricing, structuring, and placements.
• Lead client projects and mentor actuarial staff; organize project workflow.
• Stay up-to-date with latest methodologies and technologies and toolsets.
• Develop and maintain analytical tools and contribute to standards for Acrisure Re.
• Lead research initiatives, whitepapers, and internal collaboration.
