Job summary

Athene seeks an AVP Corporate Development in New York to lead all phases of reinsurance transactions from target identification through closing, including model development and due diligence. You will drive the valuation process and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure high‑quality deal execution.

The role requires advanced actuarial and financial analysis, experience with transaction modeling, and the ability to manage third‑party relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and using actuarial models for complex analyses.
• 3+ years managing a team of junior actuarial associates.
• Knowledge of LEAN methodologies and financial modelling.
• ASa or FSA designation required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of a reinsurance transaction from target to close.
• Develop and maintain transaction models and assumptions.
• Manage third-party reinsurance clients and rate strategies.
• Prepare internal deal documents for management approval.
• Collaborate with other units and oversee related projects.
