Job summary

The Electronics Test Technician at GE Aerospace performs production and repair operations for electronic avionics products, combining hands-on soldering with board-level repair and operation of automated inspection and rework equipment.

You will read schematics, work instructions, and IPC/J-STD standards, troubleshoot post-repair issues, and contribute to continuous improvement within a diverse, safety‑driven environment that values craftsmanship and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ experience in electronics industry.
• Demonstrated electronics soldering experience (IPC 610 & J-STD).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and experienced with MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow rework orders, instructions, blueprints and verbal guidance.
• Perform teardown and build-up of avionics equipment and component replacements.
• Conduct intermediate board-level troubleshooting and inspections (Fiber Optics, X-Ray, resistance checks).
• Operate automated machines for BGA, optical, and X-Ray inspections.
