Job summary

GE Aerospace in Clearwater seeks an Electronics Test Technician to perform production and repair operations on electronic and avionics products. The role combines hands-on soldering with board-level repair, and operation of automated inspection and rework equipment.

Training on IPC standards is provided; prior BGA experience is a plus. The successful candidate will read orders and blueprints, teardown/build avionics equipment, and troubleshoot post-repair to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ experience in electronics industry.
• Demonstrated electronics soldering experience (IPC 610 & J-STD).
• Enhanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; experience with MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and work from rework orders, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Complete teardown and build-up of avionics equipment, applying rework orders and board-level repairs.
• Perform low to medium complexity troubleshooting post repairs.
• Operate automated inspection and rework equipment such as BGA and X-ray systems.
• Interface with peers, test technicians, and customer service personnel with minimal supervision.
• Manage time between multiple repair activities with minimal supervision.
