Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Electronics Technician to perform bench-level testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of a range of electronics and avionics equipment. The role focuses on component-level diagnosis and repair, following established workmanship standards, and working with voltage and signal inspection tools in a structured environment.

The position emphasizes soldering, circuit board work, and adherence to documented procedures, with supervision adjusted to experience level.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bench technician experience with electronics or avionics.
• 2+ years hands-on soldering of electronic components and circuit boards.
• 2+ years of experience with electrical components and circuitry.
• At least 6 months exposure to avionics systems and related circuitry.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench-level testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of electronics and avionics equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues at the component level (transistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.).
• Repair and rework circuit card assemblies to standards.
• Follow documented procedures and understand the purpose of processes.
• Conduct functional tests to verify operation of repaired equipment.
• Use test equipment to analyze circuitry and identify faults.
• Apply soldering to assemble and repair components and boards.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail for equipment from airlines and end users.
• Work under supervision appropriate to experience and seek guidance as needed.
• Document work performed to support workmanship standards.
