Job summary

RTX, a world leader in aerospace and defense, is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer for onsite work in Melbourne, FL. You will develop product-level requirements, perform trade studies, and set integration and verification strategies for avionic hardware and software.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required or equivalent.
• Experience with system-level requirements decomposition and verification.
• Experience in aerospace environments and with avionic systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Derive product-level requirements from customer specs and decompose for SW/HW.
• Perform trade studies to optimize technical solutions and requirements.
• Define integration and verification strategies for avionics functions and products; create test plans and reports.
• Analyze data to optimize performance and guide engineering decisions.
• Communicate with stakeholders across technical spectrum, including customers and leadership.
• Provide technical support for fielded avionics through troubleshooting and lifecycle sustainment.
