Rocket Lab in California is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I – Avionics & Test to join our avionics and production teams. You’ll perform hands-on testing, debug electro-mechanical systems, and push for manufacturability improvements across production lines.

The role emphasizes autonomy, problem solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to accelerate build rates while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or similar
• Experience in Manufacturing/Production/Process Engineering environment
• Hands-on problem solving in complex manufacturing systems
• Ability to deliver on complex assignments with autonomy
• Foundational knowledge of complex manufacturing processes
• Hands-on experience debugging electro-mechanical systems

Responsibilities

• Testing and avionics debugging of electro-mechanical systems
• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality
• Support design for manufacturability
• Troubleshoot production issues across lines
