Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking an Avionics Test and Launch Engineer II to join the Test and Launch Engineering team. You will help design, test, and validate avionics for Electron and Neutron launch vehicles, and you will oversee configuration, checkout, and operations procedures.

The role emphasizes leading testing projects, mentoring teammates, and developing CONOPS and HMIs for ground- and vehicle-electrical hardware. A strong engineering background and hands-on experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with aerospace or related field.
• 8+ years in engineering design, test or operations.
• Experience with avionics and electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test avionics and electrical systems for Electron and Neutron launch vehicles.
• Oversee the configuration and checkout of avionics systems.
• Lead and manage testing projects for avionics and electrical systems.
• Mentor and train other operators within the Integrated Operations team.
• Develop CONOPS and HMIs related to ground- and vehicle-electrical hardware.
• Author, review and carry out operations procedures.
