Job summary

RTX is seeking motivated engineering students for internships and co-ops in aerospace and defense. You will learn Systems Engineering processes and contribute to meaningful projects with real-world impact at a company shaping the safest, most connected world.

You will gain hands-on experience capturing requirements, designing solutions, and coordinating across internal teams, with opportunities to work onsite in the United States.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and enrolled through internship/co-op.
• Experience with systems and software integration activities.
• Familiarity with engineering tools like DOORS, Jama, Matlab, Atlassian, and MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements and establish solid designs for new projects.
• Drive resolution for technical issues through problem solving and coordination across teams.
• Generate test cases and conduct verification and validation testing.
• Contribute to the process and standards development with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Systems and Software Integration activities.
• Experience with Systems Engineering following defined engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with engineering development tools like DOORS, Jama, Matlab, Atlassian Collaboration Tools, and Microsoft Office 365 suite.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
