Qualifications

• Advanced avionics knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.**Responsibilities:*** Lead the installation and maintenance of avionics equipment.* Diagnose and repair complex avionics issues.* Conduct comprehensive testing of avionics systems.* Document all maintenance activities accurately.* Ensure compliance with FCC, FAA, and company standards.* Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians.* Maintain an organized and efficient work area. **Qualifications You Must Have:*** High school diploma or equivalent.* 3+ years of relevant experience.* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.* Advanced knowledge of avionics systems and troubleshooting techniques.* Ability to understand and interpret basic applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings.* Advanced skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniques.* Must have own tools in good working order. **Qualifications We Prefer:*** Associate’s degree in Avionics, Electronics, or a related field.* Expert soldering skills and use of advanced diagnostic tools.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Familiarity with FCC and FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).* Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or pitot static equipment.* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military. **Essential Functions:*** Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.* Hand and finger dexterity to work with small mechanical components and tools.* Ability to work in a noisy environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials.* Ability to travel frequently to customer locations, sometimes on short notice.* Ability to work in a combination of office and field environments.* Ability to read detailed technical manuals, schematics, and computer screens.* Ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems accurately.* Ability to hear and understand spoken communication in noisy environments, such as industrial sites or construction areas.* Ability to detect auditory signals from machinery or equipment, which may indicate issues.* Ability to navigate various work environments, including climbing ladders, crawling in confined spaces, and working at heights.* Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for frequent travel to customer locations.* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, including repairs, installations, and maintenance.* Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.* Strong awareness of safety protocols and ability to adhere to safety guidelines in potentially hazardous environments.* Ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.This posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.**IMPORTANT NOTICE:**This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
