Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician in Las Vegas, NV. The role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing avionics units and related aircraft systems, with emphasis on quality and safety in a dynamic hangar environment.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of avionics repair or installation experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic computer skills. A valid driver’s license or passport is beneficial, and the company offers competitive pay and comprehensive

Qualifications

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
• Work with customer in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
• Work independently on projects.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
• Effectively and clearly communicate in English
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
