Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair avionics units and mechanical aircraft systems on-site at our facility. The role emphasizes component-level work, collaboration with customers on pricing and project management, and maintaining aircraft and shop equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, electronics or avionics training, and a valid driver’s license or passport.

Qualifications

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft (removal and installation of panels and components).
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and verification of system performance.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment and tooling to support operations.
• Collaborate with customers in project management, pricing and support roles.
• Work independently on projects.

Education

Driver's license (valid for airline travel and/or passport)
