Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking an Avionics Technician to troubleshoot and repair avionics units and aircraft systems. This full-time, on-site position offers opportunities to work on Navs, Coms, Radar, Autopilot and related systems within a busy MRO environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, avionics training preferred, and 1+ year experience; willingness to work overtime; strong English communication; valid driver’s license or passport ideal.

Qualifications

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver's license or passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support on aircraft and panels.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate avionics systems.
• Inspect aircraft and components.
• Verify performance of avionics systems on aircraft.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
• Collaborate with customers on projects and pricing.
• Work independently on projects.
• Communicate clearly in English.
• Navigate electronic training and maintenance databases.
