Job summary
West Star Aviation in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical tasks, panel removal/installations, and engine work on civilian aircraft. You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, conduct inspections, and operate ground support equipment.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and an A&P license. Overtime, weekend work, and rotating shifts are possible; benefits start at hire and include 401(k) match,
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Airframe and Powerplant license required.
- Valid driver’s license and/or passport ideal.
Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Removal and installation of panels and components.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system issues.
- De-fueling aircraft.
- Engine removal/installations.
- Operating ground support equipment.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and performance runs/taxiing assistance.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
- Notify Lead Mechanic of issues with parts or airworthiness.
- Provide detailed work progression reports.
