Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3pm-1am) in Chattanooga, TN.

This full-time, on-site role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing avionics units and aircraft systems, with opportunities to advance into higher technician levels. The position requires HS diploma or equivalent, avionics training preferred, and a valid driver’s license or passport.

Qualifications

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
• Work with customer in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
• Work independently on projects.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
• Effectively and clearly communicate in English
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
