Job summary

AAA-USA Inc in Columbus, MS is seeking an experienced avionics technician to perform assembly, installation, repair or replacement of electrical/electronic components and systems in aircraft manufacturing and maintenance. The role requires precise work and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Applicants should have a minimum of six years' avionics experience on aircraft, preferably rotorcraft, with the ability to read blueprints and diagrams.

Qualifications

  • Experience reading blueprints, sketches and diagrams for aircraft modifications.
  • Ability to fabricate/repair to FAA-regulated standards and use shop practices.
  • Knowledge of aviation electrical/electronic systems and test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, repair or replace aircraft electrical/electronic components.
  • Ensure work complies with FAA regulations and customer specifications.
  • Maintain relationships with lead personnel regarding schedules and parts availability.

You will be part of the team to perform assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintain close working relationship with assigned lead person with regard to schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies and tools, and special instructions as required.
  • Perform work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to obtain dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances and other specification requirements.
  • Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test equipment in completing work assignments.
  • Assure that completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience working on avionics in aircraft, preferably rotorcraft.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams, and apply standard shop practices in the fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs.
  • Current A&P license is a plus
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
