Job summary

AAA USA Inc is seeking an experienced aerospace sheet metal worker to join our team in Columbus, MS. You will read detailed plans and diagrams, inspect parts, install sheet metal components in aircraft, and verify that assemblies meet structural and functional requirements.

The role requires a minimum of six years related experience (A&P license or related degree is preferred). Reading blueprints, shop practices, and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of six (6) years related experience; some experience may be substituted for education normally acquired in the attainment of an A&P license or a degree directly related to aircraft sheet metal or composite.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams, and apply standard shop practices in fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs.
  • Current Airframe or Powerplant license is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Read detailed plans and diagrams and inspect and measure parts prior to assembly, ensuring parts are free of defects and correct size.
  • Install sheet metal parts and assemblies in aircraft; ensure installations do not endanger aircraft structure or systems operations and functions.
  • Fit and assemble skins, frames, and other components; perform drilling, fitting, and riveting of sub-assemblies (e.g., tail booms and stabilizers).
  • Work with inspectors to run tests to determine whether the parts are assembled properly.

You will be part of the team to perform work on assigned aircraft, assemblies, and parts in sheet metal area.

Essential Functions:
  • Read detailed plans and diagrams and inspect and measure parts prior to assembly, making sure parts are free of defectsandare the right size.
  • Install Sheet metal parts and assemblies in aircraft; assure that installations are attached without endangering aircraft structure or systems operations and functions.
  • Fitting and assembling skins, frames, and other components. Work will consist of drilling, fitting, and riveting of the many sub-assemblies of the helicopter, including such items as tail booms and stabilizers.
  • Work with inspectors to run tests to determine whether the parts are assembled properly.
