Aerotek is seeking an Avionics Technician in Atlanta to build, test, and maintain high-reliability avionics hardware, including cable harnesses and flight electronics. You will interpret wiring diagrams, support rapid component integration, and ensure quality against strict schedules in a fast-paced environment.
You will collaborate with engineering, perform bench testing with DMMs/oscilloscopes, and travel to test sites up to 25% as needed.
This role focuses on building, testing, and maintaining highreliability avionics hardware, including complex cable harnesses, wire assemblies, and flight-related electronic systems. You will work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to interpret technical documentation, support rapid integration and iteration of avionics components, and ensure that all hardware meets strict quality, reliability, and schedule requirements in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
You will join a dynamic, start-up style environment where your ideas and opinions are genuinely valued and where you can directly influence cutting-edge aviation and supersonic aircraft programs. The organization offers competitive compensation, exposure to advanced modification work, and the opportunity to collaborate with highly skilled teammates on innovative projects. You will gain hands-on experience with modern avionics technologies while working in a culture that emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
The work environment combines hands-on shop work with close collaboration alongside engineering and technical teams. The facility is partially climate controlled and can be warm during the summer months, but large fans help maintain airflow and comfort. Tools and equipment required to perform the job are provided, including standard electronic test equipment and mechanical hand tools. The atmosphere is highly collaborative, with frequent interaction across disciplines to solve problems and rapidly iterate on designs. Work hours may occasionally include evenings and weekends to support mission-critical deadlines and key test events, and some travel is required to support test operations and major program milestones. Attire is typical for a technical shop and lab setting, balancing safety, practicality, and comfort for hands-on avionics and structural work.
