Job summary

MetaOption LLC in Dallas is seeking a Systems Engineer - Avionics to join a 100% in-house engineering effort. The role involves converting customer requirements into robust avionics solutions, developing and testing proof-of-concept systems, and supporting installations and demos.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, hardware/software integration, and Python scripting. Occasional travel up to 25% is required, with hybrid work options for some days onsite and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
4+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
Experience with hardware and software products.
Strong communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
Customer-facing technical support or systems integration experience.
Experience in aerospace or another regulated environment.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Develop technical documentation including specifications, diagrams, proposals, plans, and qualification documents.
Translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
Set up and test proof-of-concept systems.
Create system configuration files from customer diagrams.
Support customer installations, demonstrations, and trade shows.
Develop test cases and procedures and improve testing methodologies.
Troubleshoot and replicate customer issues.
Develop Python scripts for automated testing.
Perform software updates, diagnostics, and remote technical support.
Resolve or escalate customer technical issues.
Maintain customer relationships and provide technical guidance.
Participate in an on-call support rotation.
